OSHA Directorate of Training and Education

The OSHA Directorate of Training and Education (DTE) develops, directs, oversees, manages and ensures implementation of OSHA's national training and education policies and procedures.

OSHA Training Institute (OTI)

The OTI provides training and education in occupational safety and health for federal and state compliance officers, state consultants, other federal agency personnel, and the private sector.

OSHA Training Institute Education Centers

The OTI Education Centers offer the most frequently requested OSHA Training Institute courses for the private sector and other federal agency personnel at locations throughout the United States.

OSHA Outreach Training Program

The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The program also provides information regarding workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.

Resource Center Loan Program

The Resource Center offers occupational safety and health training videos for loan to OSHA employees, OSHA grantees, Consultation Programs, State Plan States, Voluntary Protection Program Sites, OTI Education Centers, Federal Agency Occupational Safety and Health Trainers, and OSHA Outreach Trainers.

Susan Harwood Training Grant Program

Under this program, OSHA awards grants to nonprofit organizations to develop training and educational programs, reach out to appropriate workers and employers, and provide these programs to these workers and employers.
